Is it cheating?

One day I was attending a youth conference, as you might know that young people have got curious minds and like to ask difficult questions. This young person asked the presenter that if he has a boyfriend or girlfriend that she or he loves very much and on the other hand she or he also loves God is that not cheating? The hall laughed and the presenter tried explaining but the more he tried to explain the more questions were raised. At the rate of questions and observing the presenter ,I really appreciated his calmness and understanding that these questions might be questions that these young people ask themselves frequently but are afraid to ask adults because of fearing that they can be judged. I know of people who will say its difficult for them to do certain things because God is watching the 24/7.

They asked a question about Psalms 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed,
and meditate on thee in the night watches.
The question was how do you sleep with your partner who might be your wife or husband and be remembering someone else ? As I was sitting thinking I realised the answer was in the next verse Psalms 63:7 Because thou hast been my help,
therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
This means you remember the person because of the help they provided you in time of your need, you might be with someone but your mind still have thoughts of appreciating the greatness around you.

Most of questions were based on meditation like this verse Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
The question here was should I be spending more time reading the bible? Should I carry my bible every time so that I don’t depart from it? How will people think of me or look at me? and in my thoughts was these young people have their cell phones in their hands every second what do people say or think of them?Technology has made it easy for us not to depart from the word of God but what is more important is to do according to it.

This was also a question Mark 12:30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
They were saying if you love God with all your heart, soul. mind and strength what will be left for you to love others? I thought that most often we read or quote scriptures incomplete and this create more questions whilst the answer might be in the next verse Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. This second verse answers the question that if you love yourself then you can be able to love someone else unless you love God to the point of not knowing how to love yourself which is unlikely.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. As they were closing the session, I could hear them saying they know and understand that God is love and when they show love to others they showcasing God. Genesis 33:4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.Genesis 33:9-10 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself. And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I h.ad seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

The session showed me the beauty of openness, respect and trust although I will still maintain that God is creative, he made our hearts so special that we can love him completely and still have love for others and that is not cheating but expressing the creativity of our creator

How to claim?

Matthew 21:21-22
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

In my feedback from the previous episode, most people asked me how to claim from our father’s will. I will make few examples but remember in our father’s home everything is received by faith. This is a home of believers and its not a home of the “ I will see to believe” but its a home of the “I believe then I see.”

David will be my first example: David armed with the knowledge of his father’s will Exodus 15:13-14 “You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed;you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode. The peoples have heard; they tremble;pangs have seized the inhabitants of Philistia. David spoke empowered by his father’s will to the situation in-front of him and said 1 Samuel 17:45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. David spoke his father’s will and he knew and trusted that the will of his father was legitimate and could stand any trial. I hope you know the results which was an amazing victory.

Second example will be Jesus the son of God on earth as a human being who new his father Genesis 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Jesus knew that his father’s will was to create things by just speaking words and as a son he says in John 5:19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. He was saying I do what I see my father doing, my father speak and everything stops, listens and obey. So Jesus spoke and many situations on earth changed look at the fig tree, it was alive today and dead from its roots the next day.

So lets talk about our fathers will and us.Proverbs 18:20-21 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth;and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue:and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Everything you need is in your mouth. Your mouth is so powerful and should be used to create the future you want, then use it to claim things in your father’s will. Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods;
and all of you are children of the most High.
These words in the hands of a believer are so powerful and can bring so much confidence that no situation can overwhelm us. You need to believe that by his stripes you were healed that healing is in the will see 1 Peter 2:24, believe that he was made poor whilst rich so that you can be rich it is in the will in 2 Cor 8:9 He has set you free from anything that is holding you slave in the will at John 8:36. So we need to trust God’s will and speak the clauses of the will knowing its true that will be a way of claiming our inheritance. Lets see what David saw and see what Jesus saw. Our mouth is not only to eat but to speak things into existence, so let’s stop cursing, gossiping and saying things we don’t mean using the asset that can change our lives and design our desired destiny.

The will…..

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

I learned about this lady who had to inherit, his brother’s inheritance but his brother had written a will with conditions that required her to meet before each claim on the will can be made. The first condition was that she has to be sober for three months and if she is tested and found to be sober she will get a certain percentage of the inheritance and a date was provided to her for her meeting with a lawyer and medical practitioner for testing. She continued with her life and drank, telling herself she will sober up two weeks before the date but she missed the date because she was drunk. The second condition was for her not to be engaged in a fight for a period of six months. After realising that she had missed her first appointment, she got angry and drank more and when someone tried to stop her from drinking. She became wild and fought until police were called. She missed all the conditions and in the process lost an opportunity to inherit her brothers wealth which ended up inherited by strangers as per the brothers wishes.

This prompted me to ask for the will that I always hear people speak about in their prayers or statements. Most often people will say “not my will but God’s will” or “God let your will be done” and I wondered where is this will and how to get it? In my search I found this definition of a testament according to the free encyclopaedia ” A will or testament is a legal document that expresses a person’s (testator) wishes as to how their property (estate) is to be distributed after their death and as to which person (executor) is to manage the property until its final distribution.” Then this meant to me God wrote his will which is the Old and New Testament.

This mean that our inheritance as the Children of God is written in the will by God himself and waiting for us to claim it. The sister was too drunk and busy fighting with everyone and missed the opportunity to claim what was hers. God in his will he had to clarify who are the heirs so that the will is legitimate. Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. My challenge now which brings more questions;is why are we not claiming what belongs to us as heirs and joint- heirs with Christ and I wonder is it because we don’t believe our father has written us in the will ?or is it because the will has conditions that we cannot meet? or is it because the will is too huge and complicated we need a lawyer to clarify us on its Contents? or is it because we don’t have time to read the will ourselves? or is it because the will is not legitimate in our eyes?

These are the questions that linger in my mind and looking at Jesus confidence in this statement John 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. This is the child who speaks about the father that he knows very well and knows what are his capabilities without doubt or confusion. I wish I can speak like this about my father and and my inheritance, what about you?

How can I trust…….

Psalms 56:3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

One day after a church service this little girl came to me and asked me, how do we trust someone we cannot see? I did not expect that question, I was quiet for sometime and I decided to make it a discussion and our conversation goes like this. Me: ” Why are you asking?” Little girl: ” I always hear in church services, everyone saying trust in the Lord and I have not seen him” Me: ” Ok, do you have a heart?” Little girl: ” Yes I have a heart” smiling and touching her chest. Me: ” Let’s be sure about this do you really have a heart?” Little Girl looked puzzled and said ” Yes I have a heart” Me ” Have you seen your heart?” Little girl smiling ” No I have not seen my heart but I know its here” touching her chest and I said” This is how we know that God is alive and we trust him”

Trust is an important choice that we make as human beings everyday, we choose to trust products, people and many things. Trusting God for a Christian believer is also a choice and most often we trust his Word but doubt knock us down. In Psalm the word trust is found 71 times in which most of the verses were written by David. This tells me that trust was very critical in David’s journey with God and this must be the same in our Christian journey

I have seen the pain of parents and children who have developed a relationship of not trusting one another. A person will start by saying ” whatever I say does not matter because you don’t trust me” and this happens because of a series of events that has led to trust being destroyed. As people who live in an environment that lack trust, we tend not to trust anyone including God. Why I say this is because we still live in fear, worry, anxiety which signals that we don’t trust his word completely John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

I know this truth is hard but let’s look at how terrified we are during this COVID 19 period and we justify our actions by saying we are realistic and we cannot test God. The truth is our God says in Psalms 91:5-6 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. I am happy that God is fair and gives us a choice to trust him or trust the facts. David was told scaring facts about Goliath but he chose to trust God. Israelites faced with the raging sea as a fact they had to trust God and walk in the dried sea. When Peter was called by Jesus to walk on water, he trusted Jesus and walked on water but facts drowned him.

Can God borrow me his eyes?

John 15:9
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

I was attending a funeral service in my home township, meaning the township I grew up in and the minister of the word of God before starting his sermon he says:“My beloved brothers and sisters,I am standing here as a sign post that shows you the direction of where to go but I am not going there. So listen to what I am saying but don’t look at how I live my life” He then proceeded to give a brilliant sermon but on my mind I was still stuck in his opening remarks and I told myself I must meet him after the whole proceedings.

I met him after the proceedings in the family home and I asked him showing concern on why did he make those opening remarks? he was quiet for sometime and he decided to answer and said “I can see you not staying around here, but I am going to tell you the honest truth. I am a wreck, people in my church community has written me off and they are correct. I am an embarrassment to the church as a pastor because I am an addict and a drunkard, and I need help.” I could see he was trying hard to hold tears.

After our discussion, I did some introspection and asked my self how can we be so judgemental ? This indicated to me that we have taken pastors as inhuman and we can’t accept them to err like us. But looking at the whole picture the church of Christ has become a worst place to crucify people. Let me make an example here, if your child has been known to steal or be a prostitute or be gay or lesbian in the church we will crucify and make a mockery of you. What kind of community are we, how do we practice love as a body of Christ?

As I was leaving the family place later, I notice the pastor sitting in another house with some few gentlemen drinking and you could see he was having fun. I ask God to give me his eyes as I look into this situation because my eyes will lead me to judge and I begin to see a man broken and in pain. This man is numbing the pain with liquor and drugs and I also realise that we are all trying to numb our pain or cover our scars and we end up addicted with either pain killers or whatever that will make the pain manageable. I think its time as a body of Christ we ask God borrow us his eyes so that we can see our brothers and sisters who are broken and in pain as John says 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? I pray that God to give us his eyes

Letter to a Dearest Friend

This letter is a letter written to God as our friend and often times we are not able to say everything in prayer but writting a letter to a friend is easier. I invite you to write him a letter because he enjoys hearing from you.

Dearest Friend

In the many years I have walked with you,you have made my journey easier because you never had too many expectation from me. You are always available when I need a shoulder to lean on and you always avail yourself when I feel like the walls of life are closing up on me. What you said in Proverbs about you as a friend closer, I have experienced first hand. Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Thank you for being there when I was in pain, when I was experiencing loss, when I was sad and lonely and when everything around me did not make sense. You always said you are my strength Psalms 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth:but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

There were times when I was happy and achieving all that I had dreamed of and you were there as my cheerleader and I have truly understood what a true friend is with you. God as my true friend you have made this song so real in my life “What a friend we have in Jesus. All our sins and griefs to bear……………….We should never be discouraged. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful. Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness. Take it to the Lord in prayer”

Lord as a friend to me and to all the nations, we bow our heads and kneel before you. We seek a solution to the virus COVID-19 which is killing your people and the economy. We are asking for your wisdom and healing power. We have found you to be the only one that can change the situation for us and we trust you have a solution.

We thank you in advance for your wisdom, protection and healing to the nations.

Your Friend

God loves you, yes you!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. I wonder when reading this definition of love, whether is it humanly possible to have these characters in us but the God who created us can express all these characteristics in loving us.

Luke 15:20-24
And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate. Looking at how our father love and accept us when we have messed up and are a mess ourselves. He does not look at what you have done but he feels compassion, washes you and dresses you with a gown that says you are mine you belong to me, and he puts a ring in your finger that says we are attached to one another for life and my love has not changed for you. God loves you with all your faults and when he looks at you, he only sees his dearest child who was lost but has come home to a loving and a kind palace. He is nothing like us because we will remind you of how messed up you are and even say , “I forgive you but cannot forget what you have done” or “you must work hard to earn our trust again”. God says I restore you to your initial place in my heart, you are mine and I love you deeply and I cannot lose you

Genesis 3:8
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. In this verse we see God visiting his people during the cool of the day, and we know when our friends visit us in the cool of the day, the intention is to chill, have fun and relax. So the God who loves us, has a desire to relax and chill with us but we have created a wall that we will only go to him when we want to ask for things, or praise and worship him,or pray and he created us for more than that. He wants to spend time with us as friends and enjoy our company. He even extends an invite for us to come to his throne boldly, which means we should come as people who qualify, who are righteous and deserving. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. You might be looking at yourself and feeling guilty or underserving but God loves us so dearly that is why he gave his only son to die for our sins in the cross, He is madly in love with you .

I have observed as a Christian that we tend to love God for things that he can do for us, not to love him as a friend and a lover which I see it as being equal to making him our “blesser”.Our parents and family members have taught us that they love us more when we do things for them and we have projected this behaviour to God that he loves us more when we bring something to him like our offerings or our fasting and praying or spending time in praise and worship but God loves us unconditionally, we are perfect with or without anything to offer. He specially created us so that he can enjoy our company and to love and appreciate his creation, he longs to spend time with us as friends. He walked with David who made a mistakes like any human being one being to sleep with someone’s wife but he called him a friend and Abraham was also his Friend and he also created Ishmael due to impatience of the promise. He knows we will falter but that is not important to him, what is important is to come back to his love and trust him that he is not looking at us with entrapment eyes that we will make other mistakes. He loves you so much, it pains him to see you not trusting his love

How much he loves you and me
Zechariah 2:8b for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. You are the apple of his eye
Psalms 139:14a I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: You are wonderfully and fearfully made, you are not a duplicate of anyone.
Psalms 139:15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. He was there when you were formed in your mother’s womb, when not even one person knew you were there but he was there.
Isaiah 43:1 Israel’s Only Savior, But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob,he who formed you, O Israel:“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;I have called you by name, you are mine. God has called you by your name and he says you are mine.
Isaiah 49:16a Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; God has engraved you in the palm of his hands, when he looks a his hands he sees you.
Revelation 1:6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Jesus restored us to our original form, which was God’s intention from the beginning.
The entire bible speaks about how much God loves you and how much he desires to be your lover and a friend. He is a genuine friend and a true lover that won’t disappoint you.

I always ask myself a question, what did I do to deserve so much love because at times I feel like I m the only friend of God and the only person he loves so much and I know he wants to love you as much just open your heart and let him be your lover. Do you trust him as a lover or a friend? How do you relate to God the Father, is he a father you can share a joke with or is he a father who is for serious business?

Lots of love see you in the next episode of a friend

Faith that moves mountains

And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him. Hebrews 11:6

In this episode my desire is to remind Christians that our God is bigger than any situation and our role is to trust him especially now when the situation seem hopeless . When listening and reading news daily, they demonstrate that the situation with COVID 19 is getting worse but if we all trust God to change the situation, we will begin to hear the good news. God completes what he has started, trust Him.

Lets look at testimonies that will help demonstrate “Faith Bag” Lets look at the father of faith Abraham: Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out unto a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Lets look at the faith bag in this instance, remember a faith bag is something you hold trusting God will fulfil. Abraham in his faith bag he put in the word of God that says ” Leave your family and go to the land that I will show you” and faith bag output which is the view of what is not seen, in his faith bag he took out ” the land was was fertile, rich and I will be great there”. God provided him with the land so big see Gen 13:15.God completes what he has started, trust Him.

My faith bag story 1: I was a leader of this institution and one day there was a big strike by employees and I was insulted in all different ways, you can imagine and I asked God to intervene. In my faith bag I put this word of God Isaiah 41:10 fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. and out of my faith bag I had normality of the situation and a perfect solution. Two days later the strike ended and to my surprise the person who was in the forefront of the strike came to my office for assistance with a project. The anger within me just grew so strong and I tried to calm myself down and I don’t know how I happened to hear that still small voice saying “pray with him“. I started a conversation within myself and said no I can’t, but the voice kept on saying ” pray with him“at the end I agreed but s said “ok, I will pray for him”. The voice said “no,pray with him“and I said how do I do that because I don’t even know whether this person is Christian or not. The voice said “pray with him” and finally I obeyed. I asked the person can I pray with you, he said yes with excitement and I did not even know what to pray for but the Holy Spirit led me. After the prayer the person was crying hysterically and we could not even continue discussing the project. From that day forward when we had a problem he was the one who would say “let us talk we don’t need to strike and insult our leader”. God completes what he has started, trust Him.

Faith bag story 2: In my family we love God so dearly but we also allow different interpretation of faith applications. My husband and his friends would say that people who fall when prayed for are pushed to fall and also say they don’t understand when I teach the word of God in the service I cry and want to know what am I trying to achieve. I would try to explain that I am too intelligent to just cry in front of people but the Holy Spirit envelopes me but they would not understand. I decided to put this in my faith bag; in my faith bag was my prayer that said “God reveal yourself to my partner ” and out of my prayer bag I had a partner that understands God completely. One day I was invited to speak in another church and my husband happened to be attending a funeral in the same area on that same day. So we decided to go together to the funeral first, then to my speaking appointment and he invited his colleague to join him to the service. The service went well, I spoke about the living Jesus Christ and they asked me to pray for people and nearly everyone was in front for prayer and my husband was sitting and observing.

The power of God became so strong in the place and I could not even touch the people, just by looking at them they fell and some were crying and the environment was electric. I was also confused on what was happening and did not know how to react but kept on praying. After the service on our way home,I asked my husband to nap since I was tired, He said to me “today I have seen God in action and I repent and ask for forgiveness for all I’ve said before. Starting today I will support you in all your speaking invitations although I will not go with you because this experience was too much for me”. God completes what he has started, trust Him.

Faith bag has assisted me to see God act in ways that are amazing, God needs us to trust him. We need to hold on to our faith bag even when circumstances does not show that it will happen. Keep on saying in my faith bag, I have His word and He will honour it and I have the output of something not seen in my faith bag. God completes what he has started, trust Him.

In Faith Bag 1 I put in my faith bag the word of God and I took out normality of the situation from my faith bag. What God provided as an answer was Peace and stability. Faith bag 2 I put in my faith bag prayer about a situation and I took out understanding of the living God in my Faith bag. God’s answer was to reveal himself with power and might.

Lots of Love, lets meet in the next episode about the love un-deserved

Faith bag, do you have one?

Today I will be looking at faith in a Christian life which is most often challenged by fear, doubt and worry. When we start our Christ like journey we start by faith and in the end it will be by faith, which mean that faith is a critical element in a Christian life. It becomes a sad reality for a Christian to question their faith, asking these questions: Do I have enough faith? Is my faith the same size as a mustard seed? Do I even have faith?

For our comfort the people who journeyed with Jesus Christ on earth asked themselves the same questions ,which means we all at times question our faith Luke 17:5-6 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”.And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. Often times when we question our faith it’s when we pray for something and it does not happen or when we pray and do not receive the answer we are expecting.

What is Faith ? Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Substance is “the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence” Dictionary.com. Faith is Substance (Physical matter that can be seen, touched, smelled, tasted and heard) of something you hope for and Evidence is proof or exhibit of something not seen.

Let me introduce to you my handbag faith model : I have a handbag and I put things inside like a pen, purse, lipstick and when I need a pen I know its there.I just open my bag and take it out. So we need to have a ‘faith bag’ which can be similar to my handbag but the difference will be like your faith bag will be like your virtual card. In our faith bag we will put substance of things hoped for example like I hope for healing, the substance that I will put in my faith bag will be the word of God that speak to healing. The evidence of things not seen means I will take out of my faith bag a vision of myself doing things I couldn’t do before.

The problem we often experience is that life has been so difficult and we have been told that “easy come easy go” so many times. Simple things, like to love someone has become so difficult, because of the expectations. We have also made having faith so difficult and resorted to “Seeing is believing” One day in our church service, they asked this man to pray for something and he started tightening his fists, then changed his face and I confess I did not close my eyes , I was watching him. This man started praying by casting ,loosening and binding, it looked like a real war and I was standing there asking myself “does issues of faith have to be this hard Lord?”

When I started reading bible verses about Faith, it did not look that hard. Let’s look at the verses about faith or great faith and apply this to my faith bag model. Lets look at Luke 7:6-9
Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel
. Now applying the faith bag model :In the centurion faith bag what he puts in as a substance of something hoped for is Jesus word that has authority, and the evidence of things not seen that he has to take out of his faith purse was His servant doing his chores.

Mark 5:27-29,34 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
In the woman faith bag was one touch to Jesus clothes and evidence she had to take out of her faith bag was drying out of blood

This looks too simple and we are looking for difficult things. This evidence you have to see it in your mind or let me say visualise it spiritually. Lets apply this to Jesus journey on earth as He is our teacher and Role Model. Mark 4:38 – 40 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
In Jesus Faith bag was the word of his father, peace and be still and evidence in the faith bag was great calm. I don’t know what is your level of faith and you might be thinking this is too easy, why is everyone not getting what they hope for? I cannot answer that but I have my faith bag and I am seeing grace everyday and I trust this verse Jeremiah 1:12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

I hope faith bag will make you realised that you have been given a measure of faith according to Romans 12 :3 Put it in you faith bag and always cherish it

Lots of Love see you in the next episode where I will discuss my faith bag testimonies

Am I a sinner or righteous?

Today we are going to look at the way we look at ourselves as either sinners or the righteous of God. I always wonder why people say “we are sinners saved by grace” and others “say we are sinners short of grace”. Christian brothers and sister when are we going to be the righteous saved by grace? This question always lingers in my mind and it makes me feel like we are undermining the price Jesus Christ has paid for our salvation.

In Rom 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
To my understanding this scripture means I was and still am saved. I believed with my heart that I am right with God and nothing has changed. I always like to look at my self after the cross, that I was saved and made right with God. When I look at myself before the cross is for appreciating the cross even more and also acknowledging that I could not do this on my own.

When reading the parable of the prodigal son, I don’t know whether we focus on the son coming back degrading himself or we focus on the father who welcomes him home as a son. Luke15: 21-24 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. When I think of us as people or individuals we are so used to being sinners and its difficult to accept that we can be righteous. The problem I think is we look at ourselves and feel we cannot be righteous because of our actions and we do not qualify righteousness. Instead of looking at the price Christ has paid for us to receive this gracious gift, its true we do not qualify to be righteous on our own but Christ has made us right with God.The father did not see a sinner coming home but saw a son coming home and he did not deny that his son was lost or dead but in the midst of it all he acknowledged that his son is found and alive.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 3:28 KJV Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:Romans 5:1 KJV
When I say I am the righteous of God, people always say to me you lying because you still sin, yet in 1John1:8-9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The verse above says he is faithful to cleans me from all unrighteousness if I confess. Then do I dwell on my journey of being the righteous of God or do I dwell on my journey of being a sinner? It is up to you and I to decide, but God as a Father saw a son not a sinner who needed to be loved since he came back home. I wonder how you see yourself because that has an impact on your relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Imagine when God sees you, will He say : “There comes my righteous son or daughter” or “There comes my sinning son or daughter”.
