Do I have dual citizenship?

They don’t belong to this world, just as I don’t belong to this world.
John 17:16 CEB

I have this friend of mine who have a dual citizenship. She was born in country A and moved with her parents at a young age to country B and after sometime in country B they got citizenship. She will always brag about benefits of dual citizenship and explain that country B has so many benefits and opportunities for the citizens whilst country A is struggling. I always get jealous when she explains and I forget that I also have dual citizenship.

A born again Christian has dual citizenship, the first is on earth then in Heaven this is found in scriptures especially when you ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the benefits of being a child of God.Therefore, if you were raised with Christ, look for the things that are above where Christ is sitting at God’s right side. Think about the things above and not things on earth. You died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1‭-‬3 CEB. This verse say to you don’t think much on your earthly citizenship but focus on things above as a citizen of Heaven because your life is hidden in Christ who is on the right hand side of God the father. So we have dual citizenship.

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:Ephesians 2:6 KJV. We sitting in heavenly places with Christ and we even called by our father to come boldly to the throne of grace because we are the citizens of his kingdom that deserve to approach the throne. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.Hebrews 4:16 KJV.The benefit of dual citizenship

You might not believe that you have citizenship in Heaven now as in present tense, not when you die or you are dead and I understand because that was the gospel I was taught until Holy Spirit opened my eyes. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.John 14:20 KJV. Jesus is with the father in heaven and we are in him and he is in us. The big question is where do we spend most of our time on earth or in Heaven, like my friend indicated that she loves Country B because of the benefits which means she will spend more time in country B

Lots of love, see you in next episode continuing with dual citizenship

    1. Ystd discussion on the two topics made me realize that truly I have a dual citizenship.Hence the trinity of God being(God the Father ,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit )they are always in us and with us. Jesus Christ mentioned that himself and the Father are one and this means we are the heirs of both kingdoms.Christ makes us one body connected to each other Roman’s 12: In John15:5He said am the vine and you are the branches.God allows us to be called His children and we really are.God promised us to meet all our needs according to His glorious riches of His grace, kindness, patience, wisdom ,power and mercy here on earth but in eternity we will inherit even more. They are the benefits we are enjoying for being in God’s family .
